And I'm back in the game...

After a long break, I'm back here and ready to go. Why the long break you may ask? Well...

We had a little addition to our family last year. My sweet little girl is getting closer to being one year old, and that means she is almost sleeping through the night. What does that mean for my readers? My brain is beginning to function like it is supposed to and I can actually function well enough to write in full sentences and perform complex editing! It's been a long time, but I finally feel like I'm able to start writing again and working toward my goals of publishing.

Where am I at right now? I've finally finished making changes after my professional edit of "Still Waters" and have contacted a design company about a cover image so I can finally publish it. I'm working on a new short story, as well as a new proposal and query to submit "Shadow of the Rockies" to a book agent. There's lots to do, but now that the baby is sleeping better... I get to get back to a little bit of normalcy. And for my introverted self, that's back to writing.

I can't wait to share updates on the publishing and writing process as I continue to get more sleep. Now that I've said it out loud, she's probably going to go through another growth spurt and I'll be back up a few times through the night. But... it's all worth it.

The things we do for our kids, right? And, oh how we love them! What a blessing and beautiful gift from God.
